You're Tough, But You're Not That Tough!
This is a message the Lord is allowing me to put together to preach soon.
Jeremiah 15:12 KJV
Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?
Iron is in reference to Judah and Jerusalem, and the Northern Iron and steel is in reference to Babylon.
There are several thoughts here, but I want to dwell on one main thought, and that is this:
"Just because you defeat one battle doesn't give you the capability to win another battle."
Now I understand that there are those that say we have victory in the Lord and yes we do but we should never enter another battle without first taking a reset and refocus and see where we are at spiritually.
There were those in the book of Jeremiah telling Judah and Jerusalem that they would not be going to captivity and that they would win the battle. God said otherwise!
You see, there is a great danger going against something that is stronger than you, and you may say, but everyone else is saying that it is easy to conquer. May I ask what happened to Joshua and those who went up to AI the first time? They lost. They had just come straight from one battle to the next without regrouping and examining their hearts' motives and see if there was sin.
You do not climb one mountain and expect to climb the next one immediately. Neither should you fight one battle and then fight another one immediately.
Have you considered taking on another challenge even though you probably should be examining why you are taking it?
If your heart is not right, then the walk, the words, the listening, and the looks will not be right.
Proverbs 4:23 states we should keep our hearts.... that means guard your heart. Too many have lost battles one right after another because they didn't glued theri heart.
I don't know if this helps you, but this sure helped me this morning.
