Responding The Right Way To Enemies

You can't always help having an enemy, but you can help being an enemy."- Warren W. Weirsbe

Many times we find ourselves having enemies. Maybe something we have said that they didn't like or something we have done but don't let the enemy be the one that gets inside. What i mean by this is don't let the enemy that's on the outside take root and be the enemy that becomes bitterness, covetousness and such like things on the inside.

The way you become an enemy is by showing your true colors to the enemy. Jesus said we should love our enemies, not become our enemies enemy.

Many are jealous over the ministry that God has given someone else. Don't become an enemy to the one you are jealous over.

Several years ago I was asked to keep a preachers health situation private and I remember another preacher calling me and asking me to tell him what's going on. I mentioned to him that he could call the family and if they chose to give information to him they could but I wasn't going to give that information to him or anyone for that matter. That man ended up causing a big stink and calling pastors and told them that I was withholding information. He decided to make an enemy out of me, but I could not make an enemy out of him. Why? Because our Savior prayed on Calvary, Father forgive them for they know nothing what they do. If my Savior prayed that I should also pray, Father, the one that has wronged me sees me as an enemy but I see him as a friend. Help this person to see what I see.

I don't say this to say look at me and what I have done but rather look at how God can bless when you do the right thing.

You may have an enemy that has stolen the heart of someone you love, don't make them an enemy in your heart. You may have a person in the ministry that has stabbed you in the back and spread rumors. Don't make that person the enemy. Why? Because if you do good to them God will bless you and also you will find that you will heap coals of fire on their heads.

They are the ones missing out not you!!!!
