The Blessed "Happy" Man Pt.2

Justin Baker • February 2, 2023

Yesterday we looked at part one of the blessed 'happy" man. Today we will continue our thought of this. My prayer is you will be encouraged and helped. Today is the day to draw closer to the Lord.

Yesterday we discussed how we should not walk in the counsel "advice" of the ungodly, wicked, man. today we will continue with verse 1.

Notice if you will the second line of the verse ....nor standeth in the way of sinners,...

How many people will die and go to Hell because of the simple fact that there are Christians who stand in the way of sinners. The Bible states here blessed is the man.... nor standeth in the way of sinners....

The Word Blessed according to strongs concordance means happy. Happy is the man that doesn't stand in the way of sinners. Think about the day that someone lost stands before Christ and you are to blame for their day of judgment only because you stood in their way.

See, many times we do not see ourselves in the way of sinners but yet with the life that we live more often than once are we in the way of sinners. If we have bitterness in our heart do you know who sees it? The sinner. If we have rebellion in our actions, do you know who sees it? The sinner.

It's not my sin that just affects me, it's that my sin affects others. How many people will look at your life and say, if that is how a born again believer is or acts i don't want nothing to do with that. When you harbor bitterness, anger, and have resentment in your heart the lost will see it.

I preached a message out of the book of Mark chapter ten about blind Bartimaeus. This man had sat by the highway side begging. I am sure many people had walked by him and ignored him and just like the crowd that was walking with Jesus told him to be quiet.

This man, Bartimaeus, didn't allow the crowd to stop him from getting help that he needed. Bartimaeus probably dealt with some that were very bitter, and very angry. Some may have had a bad taste in their mouth from other beggars but that didn't stop blind Bartimaeus from coming to Christ. Although there are some that will not pay attention to the bitterness and anger that you have but many will turn away from Christ simply because of the fact of the Christians that stand in the way of sinners. Without seeing a thing physically he could tell there was a group that didn't care if he got the help he needed. He noticed there was a group around Jesus that were more concerned with themselves than those that really needed help.

I wonder if after being healed blind Bartimaeus told the group when he saw someone, remember me when you see this person because this person needs Jesus like I needed him. Oh if we could have the same mindset. If we could see sinners needing a Savior, if we could see them dropping into Hell, if we would see them as if it were their last time seeing us

My question this morning is are you standing in a lost person's way of them coming to know the Savior? If you are, why don't you move out of the way so they can see Christ?

Do you have anything in your life that will stand in the way of sinners being saved? Do you have anything that you need to get clean from? If so, I encourage you to get it right today.

Please don't be a hindrance to others!!!!

The Blessed "Happy" Man stays out of the way of sinners!!!!

Psalm 1:1-6 KJV

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. [3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. [4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. [5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. [6] For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
