Lamentations 5:19 KJV
Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.

Lamentations 5 deals with those in Judah and Jerusalem crying out unto God because of their affliction. God has a way for us to see ourselves and see him high and lifted up.

They are telling the Lord that their fathers and sinned and the things that they had to go through but they were reminded that God was still on the throne and he doesn't change.

(I.) He has an unchangeable position

This is the year of elections. No matter how the elections go God is still on the throne. This is a year of tragedy but God is still on the throne. This year has been a year of rebellion against God, but God is still on the throne.

We sometimes forget by the way we live that God is still on the throne. When you and I hope that the government will do something we are placing our trust in the government. By the way, the Government can't do what the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS can do. God can take a mountain and make it a valley if he chooses to you know why? Cause he is on the throne and he is the one that created it and he can do whatever he pleases.

The question this morning yes God is on the throne of Heaven but have you allowed him to make his throne in your heart?

Alot of times we will acknowledge that he is on the throne in Heaven but is he on the throne in your heart? Is he your King or has money become king in your heart? Has a girlfriend or a boyfriend or spouse made their throne in your heart?

Yes God is king but have you surrendered to him today? Many have but many have not.

He has not changed his position neither will he give his throne to another.

(II.) Has an unchangeable personality

He is the God of love, the God of mercy, the God of Truth, the God of righteousness, the God of Judgment, He is the God that never changes!

God remains the same in his position on sin. Why? Because he is a Holy God. Sin can not enter into his presence

(III.) He is an unchangeable person

Hebrews 13:8 states that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Malachi 3:6 KJV
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

He will still be God if the floods would have overtaken. North Carolina.

Thankful I have a Savior and a God that doesn't change. I hope you know the God that I am telling you about!
