Straight Forward

There is no time to turn back in the Lord's work.

Ezekiel 1:9,12 KJV
Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. [12] And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

Notice the two words STRAIGHT FORWARD. It is amazing that these creatures didn't turn to the right hand or to the left but went straight forward.

As we should be led, these angels were led. "They turned not when they went."

One thing about driving is that when you drive yes you make turns and go around curves and make decisions but we do not drive backwards anywhere on the road and we also do not turn to the right or to the left because either side of the road is a ditch.

Many live their life in the ditch because they do not go straightforward!

They get sidetracked on a lot of things in this world, and they end up messing up. Remember Peter? As long as he kept his eyes forward on Jesus, he was able to walk on the water, but when he got his eyes on the storm, he sank.

Matthew 14:23-33 KJV
And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. [24] But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. [25] And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. [26] And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. [27] But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. [28] And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. [29] And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. [30] But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. [31] And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? [32] And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. [33] Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Luke 9:62 KJV
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Let's not look back or to the side but straight on! HALLELUJAH!
