When Things Fizz Up Quit Trying To Unscrew The Cap
What to do when things rise so they can die down.
At my house we have Dr. Peppers. My stepdad really likes them. On occasion I will grab one and drink it but I would rather drink water, or Gatorade zero. Every once and a while I will drink a Dr. Pepper. One thing about Dr. Peppers is they like to fizz up when you first turn the cap. There have been times I have not paid attention and ended up having Dr. Pepper on my shirt or pants because it spewed out.
Here is the issue, alot do not want to be the controller of a situation. We want to keep unscrewing a cap that eventually will waste what good the drink could be.
Notice our text:
Romans 12:17-21 KJV
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. [18] If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. [19] Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. [20] Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. [21] Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
In the very first part of the chapter Paul beseeches us to make our bodies a living sacrifice and at the very end of the chapter tells us to overcome evil with good.
Many have tried to overcome evil with evil but the problem is you are unscrewing a cap with fizz. No wonder so many are always upset, no wonder so many are always bitter. They have continued unscrewing a cap when they should have stopped and slowly open it.
Something else I have noticed is that cold Dr. Peppers don't fizz as much as the hot ones do.
Your lesson today is always get a cold Dr. Pepper, just kidding.
People who always let the fizz fizz to the top always get mad when they get drink on them. May I say, it's not someone else's fault if you get drink all over you. Same thing goes for a Christian that allows bitterness, anger, resentment, jealousy, wrath, clamor and such things to fizz out of them.
Don't blame the bottle for the problem, blame the bottle opener, yourself.
Too many are blaming the bottle when they should be blaming the user!!!!
