The Ministers And Reconciliation.
All of us have wronged someone, and we must be true children of God to seek reconciliation, and the person that we have wronged should extend reconciliation.
Reconciliation is a big word that simply means to forgive, cancel, purge, put off, and cleanse. There are other definitions, but these are in the list and such like things as these are mentioned in the list as well.
Ezekiel 45:15,17,20 KJV
And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make reconciliation for them, saith the Lord GOD. [17] And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel. [20] And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye reconcile the house.
If you are a child of God, then you have the responsibility of being a minister of Christ.
A minister is someone who is following God's leadership to further what God has for this world.
What i mean is we as ministers have one duty, and that is to show the world who Jesus is and share the gospel with them.
How can we share the gospel to a lost and dying world if we are at odds with the brother down the road?
Don't tell me you are willing to go across the street and witness to someone when you won't even pick up the telephone and make mends with someone that you have some wrong against.
We must learn how to reconcile people back to us.
Reconciliation is something Christ did on Calvary, and we must show that same love to a lost and dying world.
Brethren and sisters, we must be reconciled before we can give reconciliation. To whom much is given, much is required.
Brethren and sisters, if a person will not come for reconciliation, then that's on them, and they will have to reap the consequences of it. You are responsible for extending reconciliation to them.
I can't help what someone does, but I can help what I do.
Brethren and sisters, we must move on from those who will not receive the reconciliation.
You go to that brother or sister, and if they don't heed, take two or three witnesses with you, and if they don't heed, then bring them before the church and let the church handle the situation. And Jesus said that where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst.
It's sad that lost folks know how to ask for forgiveness but saved individuals have a hard time. The reason being, I think, is because we don't like to admit that we are wrong. God help us!
Do you need to be reconciled today, or do you need to extend reconciliation today?
