Seeing, Experiencing, And Sharing

God shows us things, and we experience a lot of things as Christians, so we can share them with others.

Ezekiel 1:1 KJV
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

Notice the phrase,... as I was among the captives…..
Ezekeiel says that while he was among the captives, he saw the visions of God. There will be times when you are the only one whose eyes are open to see what God has for you to see. Your family may not see it, your friends may not experience it but you will be able to see and understand it.

Our prayer should be Psalm 119:18 KJV
Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

The lost and those that are around us that are rebellious have no insight as to what those that are born again and right with God have.

The Bible states that the Heavens were opened. I wonder why the heavens were opened to Ezekiel and not to the others. Simply because those that were around him had no desire to see what Ezekiel desired to see.

This reminds me of the rapture of the saints. When the rapture takes place, there will be a calling away that the lost will not hear but the saved individuals.

There will be a day when all eyes shall behold the glory of the LORD, and all eyes shall see him Philippians 2:9-11. What a great day that will be!

But as we look at this one verse, we notice that Ezekiel is the only one that sees the Heavens open up. He also sees the visions of God. He experiences things that no one else around him experiences.

People who are saved will experience things and have the joys that the lost will not experience. In the following verse, he describes things that the others in captivity don't get to experience.

What a joy to know that in the midst of a captivity, we can enjoy the joys of our Savior. Why are you so happy? I have the joy of Christ! Why aren't you down like the rest of us? I have the joy of Christ!

It's the joy of the LORD that gives us our strength, and when we are weak, that is when he is strong.

Ezekiel not only had the opportunity to see things and experience them, but he also had the privilege of writing a book that God the Father told him to write for our learning.

We may not understand why God has given such things to us, but we must realize it is ours not only for our learning but also the learning of others.

Remember, count it a privilege that God would think of you to share with you the great riches of his word. Yes, everyone can enjoy these treasures, but few enjoy them because they simply are not close to the Savior to hear the heartbeat of God.

What has happened to Christians over the years is that we can enjoy them, but we don't. Why? Because we simply choose not to enjoy them. What a shame!

What a shame on me if I do not get up to enjoy the treasures ready for me that morning. They are there and I can enjoy them.

How about you, friend? Are you seeing things experiencing things and sharing with others what you have enjoyed?

Salt is good, and we must be salty for others to want what we have, but how do we get salty? By getting into the Word!
