Closed Eyes To Open Things

Many have closed their eyes to the things that are very out in the open in this day and hour.

Lamentations 3:51 KJV
Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.

We know Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet, and we also know that his ministry lasted for forty years.

In our text, Jeremiah is weeping over what has happened to Jerusalem and Judah because of their sin.

The Bible states mine eye affecteth mine heart. He saw the destruction, and it bothered him. Many in this day and hour have closed their eye to the things that should affect us.

We have lost our tears for the things that are happening in our country.

Does it not bother you that we are murdering babies week in and week out?

Does it not bother you that there are Sodomites that are going into schools and reading books to children about sodomy?

Where are our tears for the lost? For the wayward? For the church that has gone contemporary?

The reason we are not bothered by these things is truly that we will not open our eyes to see these things. Therefore, it doesn't affect us.

Your fire-starter challenge is to ask God to open your eyes so that you may see these things and may it affect us to the point that we take action.
