Job Was A Great Man Because Of pt. 4
Job was a man with a stand, who was a servant, had sifting but I am glad to say that Job was a man of security He relied on God. May we understand great people rely on the Lord.
Our Fire-starter comes from Job 1. Our Fire-starter thought is Job was a great man because of
We read Jobs stand, his sacrifice, his servitude, his sifting, but he had security in Christ.
What do i mean by this? He trusted that Christ would take care of him and his family. I believe he said this out loud, the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away blessed be the name of the Lord.
One thing Job realized was he could trust God with everything because he was trustworthy.
You can trust and rely on him. If God chooses to take everything from you then he can why? Because he is God. If he chooses to give you more he can why? Because he is God.
Job put everything in God's trust. In fact, if you look at verse ten of chapter two
Job 2:10 KJV
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
He states God give good things and evil things
No matter what happened to Job, he knew that God would take care of him.
Let me remind you this morning that you can rely on Christ in our storm but we are secure in him. My security is knowing that he knows who I am and where I am at. The reason Job could say the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away was because of his security in Christ.
Christ, as a father, has the responsibility of adding things and taking things away that will cause us to either bless him or curse him. It'd to see what we will do.
You are secure in him. You can trust him because he is trustworthy and he is also praiseworthy.
Job 1:20-22 KJV
Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, [21] And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. [22] In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
