Had I Been There A Few Minutes Earlier

Good morning, thank you for reading the Fire-starter devotional each morning I hope and pray it sparks a desire for you to serve the Lord as you go about your day.

This morning I want to deal with something off topic than 2 Chronicles.

I was riding to my destination in Williston and on my way I saw one wreck that had just happened in front of me although I didn't see the wreck and then what could have been a very bad wreck but wasn't at a four way stop with the driver running a stop sign.

This morning as you go about your day there is one phrase that has two meanings.

The phrase is: had I been there a few minutes earlier.

We all know loved ones pass away and if the rapture doesn't happen in my lifetime I will and you will pass away. Alot of times we look at this one phrase had I been a few minutes earlier and we think of the bad that could have happened but think for a moment on the spiritual side.

Had I been a few minutes earlier to spend more time in giving the gospel

Had I been a few minutes earlier to witness to a loved one before the headed out of town

Had I been a few minutes earlier I could have seen a marriage put back together.

We look at the bad. But think about it this way

Had I been a few minutes earlier i could have watched a loved one with tears in their eyes see Jesus and who he is.

Had I been a few minutes earlier I could have gotten in a shouting service because a wayward child got right with God.

Had I been a few minutes earlier I could have heard the testimony of someone that God has changed.

May God help us invest in just a few minutes earlier. Yes there are two ways at looking at the same phrase but may we look at it with good regret and not bad regret.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
