Fire-starter challenge #239

Jesus never came to condemn but rather to save, John 3:16-17 is evident of that.

Many times, we find ourselves condemning others when we should be telling the gospel to those folks.

I am often reminded of how Jesus responded to the woman taken in the act of adultery. Christ never came at her with a judgmental spirit but a heart of compassion.

He said, "Neither do I condemn thee go and sin no more."

The issue was that the pharisees were partial in their judgment, bringing the woman by herself. It was stated in levitical law that the man and woman caught in the act of adultery were brought before the counsel.

How many times are we partial in our judgment? How often do we find us condemning someone instead of lifting someone up?

How many times do we catch ourselves keeping the brethren on the ground when we should be the ones to restore a brother that has fallen?

These are questions that we should ask ourselves.

Abraham and Isaac and the ram are great pictures of God the Father, us, and our Savior. Jesus was lifted up on Mount Calvary.
