Fire Starter 6.6.22
Good morning, our Fire-starter comes from 1 Chronicles 8. Our
Fire-starter thought is: where are the men and women of valour in
today’s day?
Our Fire-starter verse is verse 40.
To help us better understand today’s devotional we must understand the
meaning of the word valour.
I looked up the word Valour and it means
Strength of mind in regard to danger; that quality which enables a man
to encounter danger with firmness; personal bravery; courage;
intrepidity; prowess.
The sons of Ulam were known as mighty men of valour. They were known for
their firmness in the face of danger. Can I remind us this morning today
is not the day we need to be a coward or a showboat today is the day we
need people that are of valour, if you will, in the midst of danger
standing firm.
In this chapter these men were the only ones mentioned as mighty men of
valour. There was a king mentioned in this chapter and if anyone ought
to be firm in the midst of trouble it ought to be the king but according
to the word of God in 1 Samuel 17 this king, Saul, was a coward and
wouldn’t fight against Goliath. David, God’s next man to be king,
comes out and fights him and wins the victory in the name of the Lord, a
mighty man of Valour.
We must remember this morning, it’s not time to back down or to be a
coward when danger comes. It’s time to stand up!!!
When danger comes and we coward down we can rest assure we are going to
lose the battle.
I’ve been in dangerous situations spiritually where I have coward down
and lost some battles but when I stand firm in the midst of danger I put
a fight and it’s harder for the enemy to win. Why? Simply because I am
standing my ground.
In today’s society we have become a coward in the midst of danger.
instead of speaking the truth we keep silence and it has not only given
the enemy another way to want to fight more but it also has given them
the victory in some cases.
It’s easier to win a battle when the opponent is not fighting!!!!!!
It’s easy to push someone over that does not have a good stand. If
you don’t stand firm on something you will fall for anything!!!
The Bible has stood the test of being firm in the midst of danger simply
because it is God’s forever settled word and it’s not going anywhere.
May we be valiant people today. Standing firm in the midst of danger.
When the world wants to vote someone in office that is against God’s
word we can stand firm on what we believe and not coward down. We must
not coward down for this next generation. There is danger in today’s day
and we must be people of Valour!!!!
Hope you have a wonderful day!!!
