Doing More Than What's Required

If we only do things for people that do things for us, or even love people because they love us, what kind of thanks do we receive?
I was thinking of how Christ expects us to do more than what we are asked. God help us to do more in our lives.
We can do more at the house of God, we can do more at the service of the Lord. God help us to do more.
