Have you ever got glow sticks for children or even for yourself? The thing that is amazing about glow sticks is they do not shine unless they are broken. God tells us to let our light shine in Matthew 5:16. How do we let our light shine? By being broken!!! Allowing God to let the light of His dear Son to be shined out of our life. 

The way we do this is by following the path that Christ took. This path was a humbling path (Philippians 2:8) it was an enduring path (Hebrews 12:2) and it is also a rewarding path (Luke 23) where the thief in the cross was redeemed). 

Christ tells us to be followers of him. I wonder how many have been broken so you can shine brighter? 

Be like a glow stick and shine bright for Jesus today!!! 

It's alright to be broken! When it happens you will shine brighter. I know people that have been broken and they are totally sold out to Christ. May we be broken today!!!!
