Good morning, hope you have had a great week so far. Our Fire-starter thought is this: when your desires becomes his desires his desires becomes your desires.

Psalm 37:4-5 KJV

Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. [5] Commit thy way unto the Lord ; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Matthew 6:33 KJV

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I preached last night on lost everything while chasing nothing. The first point was chasing dreams.

If we could say it this way, the prodigal son had dreams of what it would be like if he was on his own and what he could do.

I'm sure the prodigal son was like every young person at one time or another. If I could just get out from under mom and dad and live my life.

This prodigal's dream brought him nothing.

Make your desires His desires and his desires will become your desires.

As Psalm 37:4 states Delight thyself also in the Lord....

That's the part we don't like. We want the easy way for God to give us the desires of our hearts but we also want to live however we want to. It doesn't work that way.
