Genesis 19:12-14 KJV

And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: [13] For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it. [14] And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

The story of the boy who cried wolf has always been very big warning to me as a believer. The more we tale falsehoods or live a life that is a lie the more people do not want to listen to us.

In the story of the boy who cried wolf we read where the boy cried when no wolf was around alarming everyone around him to come help and when they came he laughed at them but then the real wolf showed up and the people didn't come to the cry and screams of the boy. This is exactly what is happening with Lot.

 Lot has lived a life that has affected his children. One thing to note is that only two daughters made it out but the rest were killed in Sodom.

What a shame it would be to live such a life that even your own family rejects the truth when you tell them.

Lot has lived this way fir a long time and now his own family will not heed to his warning.

I am afraid that this happens more often than we know. Many Christians who are in the world have found themselves of the world and when it comes to standing they try yet no one listens.

Do you have a life like Lot? Would your family mock you when you try to tell the truth? Would they listen?

These are questions we must consider but we must not allow our hearts to become like Lot.

 Friend i encourage you to live a life that is pleasing to God and not the flesh.

May we live a life according to the Bible and be the influence we need to be on the world.
