WhatTo Do When Discouragement Hits. Jeremiah 45

Justin Baker • September 27, 2024

Discouragement hits at an all time high in our all time low. Take these thoughts and use them or share with a friend.

It is easy to get discouraged when it seems you are trying to do great things for God but we must remember that it is not us that does the work but the God that lives inside us that does the work.

I read a book recently called Sit, Walk, Stand by Watchman Nee
He brought this Book from the book of Ephesians
We must learn to sit and learn of Christ before we can walk out in the world and we must prepare ourselves for the warfare in the world as we walk daily. As we stand we are not standing so we can win a battle but keep the ground for which Christ has paid. This is not working to keep our salvation but rather keeping the ground that Christ has bought so Satan cannot gain victory in our life and destroy fellowship.

Preacher, Sunday school teacher, bus director it's easy to get discouraged when it's you trying to do things. Let Christ be the one that does things and find yourself resting in him.

1. Remember, God hears your cries, complaints, and your compliments. Verse 3
"Thou didst say"

2. Not everything is going to go to your liking verse 4
"That which I have built will I break down."

3. Don't seek great things for yourself. Seek the Great King. Verse 5
"And seekest thou great things for thyself? Seek them not:...."
