Many Americans will agree that money has been the drive of our government. Yes, indeed we need money to live but sadly in this day and time many think money is what will get us out of trouble. It may earthly speaking but it will not heavenly speaking.

Ezekiel 7:19 KJV

They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

Notice one phrase in this passage: ...their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD:....

Our jails are emptied because of people paying bail for people and then they go and do the same thing over and over again. It's time we implement a no bail and let them serve their time.

Many Catholics believe as long as you pay the priest you can get forgiven but that is not the case. There is no amount of money that can nor will get you out of trouble with the Savior.

God told Ezekiel that their silver and their gold would not be able to deliver them; my question is why do we think it will for us?

In order to get out if trouble with China we pay them, same thing goes for Iran and other countries and yet we think as long as we are giving money to the church we are able to deliver ourselves out of the wrath of God somehow.

Friend, judgment will come whether you give one dollar or one million dollars. God owns the earth and he doesn't need your money to change his mind. If it wasn't for him you wouldn't have money.

Then how do we escape the judgment of God? I am glad you asked! The book of Jonah tells us that God's judgment was turned when they humbled themselves.

The Bible tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that God would heal the land of Israel if they were to humble themselves and pray and seek his face. He also said if they will turn from their wicked ways. There's the key friend, turning from their wicked way. The wicked way of relying on money to get them out of trouble. The wicked way of building altars unto false gods. The wicked way of abominations.

We as Americans need to turn from our wicked way. God will not take away the judgment but save it for another time if we truly repent.
