The Quiet Prince But Quite A Preacher!!!!

Justin Baker • October 4, 2024

God give us Christians that will live by the Bible not just listen to the Bible.

I wrote right beside these verses that even though there are some quiet preachers in this day and time they are quite some preaching that comes out of them. You don't have to be a loud mouth preacher to get a loud message across.

Yes, the loud mouth preachers are the ones that gets recognized alot of times but sometimes it's the quiet prince that can get quite a message out.

It amazes me how many "BIG PREACHERS" have some messages that are great but live a life that is contrary to their messages. This quiet prince preached a message that was written in a book and given to him to read. I read where Vance Havner stated that he uses notes because sometimes reading the notes could help him keep in line the message that he is preaching than with those that don't use notes and run rabbit trails and not preach anything.

The quiet prince will preach through his words from the Word and then live the word.

Not only did he speak what he read but also acted on what he had been told.

Too many Christians like to hear that we need to live by the Bible but when they are to act and live by the Bible they don't want to do it.

Notice these verses from the text:

[63] And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: [64] And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

After the message was complete the Word needed to be lived out. What good is it to read the Word and then not to apply it?

James 1:22-23 tells us to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. Sadly, we are living in a world that neither hears the Word nor does the word.

Churches are filled with people that the preacher says we must be soulwinning and only 2 or 3 staff members of the church and a few members actually shows up for organized visitation.

If this is how we are to live out the Bible then we have many in our churches that are hearers and not doers. Everyone has a call to be a witness everyday. [Matthew 28:19-20 Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15]

Every Christian has the command be filled with the spirit [Ephesians 5:18]. I wonder how many people are living out the Word of God?

I hear people say, were must pray for those in Authority as the Bible teaches us but how many of us actually pray for them?

Let our feet sink with our mouth!!!!
Don't tell someone to get the gospel out of you ain't doing it yourself.
Don't be the loudmouth preacher be the quiet prince that was quite a preacher.

Preacher, I do want to say that just because your quiet doesn't mean your not quite a preacher or you don't deserve an opportunity. I would rather give someone that's quiet an opportunity than someone that has the loud mouth and wants everyone to shout all day long.

Be quite the preacher that God has you to be. Church member be quite the church member God has you to be.

Live in the Word and live out the Word. Remember you are carrying a message for someone today!

Jeremiah 51:59-64 KJV
The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince. [60] So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon. [61] And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words; [62] Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.
