The Incurable Disease Micah 1:9

Justin Baker • March 3, 2025

The incurableness was on the part of Samaria. Samaria was the capital of Israel, the northern kingdom.

We often hear that there is no cure for cancer or other things. The sad part of that is the majority, not all, but the majority comes from them doing certain things that caused cancer. The cure would have been not doing the certain thing that causes cancer.

I am not putting down someone who has cancer. I am saying that according to studies, a lot of cancer has been caused by lifestyles. Smoking, drinking, and overweight are some of the things that have caused cancer.

Was there a cure? Will there be a cure? Yes, there has been a cure, but the cure has not been used in many lives.

See, if those who smoked all their lives would have never touched a cigarette or chewed Tobacco, they would probably have never experienced the cancer that they have now had they stayed away from it.

So many have the incurable disease of unbelief because they are around so many unbelievers. So many people live with the incurable disease of no faith because they hang around and take from the faithless generation.

It's not that this was incurable because God couldn't cure them, but rather, they didn't want to be cured.

Life application: Remember that when we humble ourselves and turn from our sin and ask Christ to forgive us, we too can have the cure. May we always want to do what is right so we do not have to deal with the incurable disease.

Every single person has a past, a present and a future. Sadly, many are holding on to past experiences instead of moving forward. Don't get bogged down with the past!
