Thanks Giving From Thankful People pt. 7

1 Timothy 2:1-6 KJV

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; [6] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Today's Fire-starter is to be thankful for those that are in authority.

Sometimes we do not agree with authority but we must pray for them. We are also instructed to give thanks for them.

It's hard to give thanks for someone that doesn't do the right thing but we are commanded to.

How to be thankful for those in authority.

1. Even if your party didn't win just be thankful that we are not under communistic government yet.

2. Be thankful that we are not under a loose, easy going government.

What do I mean by that? We are living in a day where we have rules and regulations. Some people do not have ruled and standards and it shows

3. Be thankful that our country was founded on Biblical principles even though we have gone away from that we still were founded on them.

Pray that we get back to the Bible!!!!

Hope you have a blessed day!!!

Trusting the Lord to provide can be testing but we must have some Jehovah-Jireh moments. In the little and big things.
