Searching The Blessing For Others

Justin Baker • September 29, 2022

So many times we look to bless ourselves yet we must be looking for the blessing for others. May we learn from Mordecai in this area

Our Fire-starter comes from Esther 10. Our Fire-starter thought is searching the blessing for others.

Many times we want what we can get instead of looking at what we can give. The Bible states in Acts 20:35 it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Mordecai is Esther's uncle that raised her and we know very little about him other than him being her uncle and not bowing down to wicked Haman but we find in our text that he was great among the Jews, accepted of the multitude of his brethren.

If you will find someone that already has a good reputation most time they will do good to you!!!!

We can learn alot from Mordecai. Mordecai, as we know, was under the king. He not only wanted to see God blessing those that were his family and kindred but I am positive he had this mindset in the kingdom.

Friend, whether you are at work, at church, at school, or at home always seek for the blessings for others. Don't seek for a blessing be the blessing.

I'm sure Mordecai was a blessing to the Jews. Can I ask you this morning are you a blessing where you are?

Are you finding ways of being a blessing?

"Don't look for a blessing, be the blessing!!"

Have a wonderful day!!!!

Esther 10:1-3 KJV

And the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land, and upon the isles of the sea. [2] And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia? [3] For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.

Every single person has a past, a present and a future. Sadly, many are holding on to past experiences instead of moving forward. Don't get bogged down with the past!
