I was thinking about this all weekend as I had been dealing with a toothache. It hit me how so many are concerned when something is wrong with them, and we should be, but when it comes to lost souls, we are not concerned one bit.

I read a book a while back, and it had in there about a person headed to get executed for his wrongdoing. The chaplain of the department was reading the Scripture, and as he was reading the man heading for execution asked him what are you reading the chaplain replied, Luke 16. The man said if I believe what you say you believe, i would walk all across England on my hands and knees on broken glass to see one person come to know Christ.

Are you like the chaplain or like the prisoner? Are you carelessly giving the gospel, or are you giving the gospel with urgency knowing that time is short?

May God help us to be better witnesses for him.
