Looking At The Same Thing With No Change.
The word of God is likened to a mirror, and sadly, a lot of people treat it as it were their mirror in their own house.
We all have mirrors in our house that show us what we need to correct or even focus on.
Many people see the same person in the mirror all the time, themselves. The problem is we have gotten so used to what we look like we can about tell you what we will see.
Isn't it amazing how often we see ourselves in the Word of God, and we tend to sometimes ignore it?
We see ourselves as needing to be better witnesses, yet we still are the same person, and we do nothing to be a better witness.
We see our need to start reading the Word of God daily, but we continue not to read it.
We see our need to pray more, yet we seem to not find any time to fit God in our schedule.
When you and I see ourselves in the mirror of God's Word, that is not the time to ignore it but to heed the warnings and take care of it.
I believe I have stated this before in the devotionals, but I will state it again because it is so true.
"A mirror can not force you to change. It can only reveal what needs to be changed."
Friend, you must have the desire to change not just to see yourself every day as the same person.
Fire-starter reading is James 1.
