Genesis 41:16 KJV
And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Joseph has been forgotten about for two full years. Finally, the butler remembers Joseph when hard times hit.

Sadly, there are many, who like the butler who forgot Joseph, that forget God until things get bad.

People often use the Lord for a spare tire when things go bad but he ought to be in our every day lives so when good days happen and then when bad days happen he is always remembered.

Have we gotten so used to God that we do not remember that he is there?

The one thing about the Lord's table that I love is the remembrance of our Savior.

See, the butler was restored. If the butler always kept in mind what had happened to him he would have remembered Joseph a lot sooner.

Many of us are like the butler. We are thankful for the restoration but we go back to our forgetfulness of the Savior till we need something.

One thing I would like to draw out from our text and that is what Joseph said, Genesis 41:16 KJV - It is not in me....

Joseph realized that the interpretation of dreams was not in him but God!

I wonder today do we think that we can do a lot of things? John 15:5 states that without Christ we can do nothing.

It is in him we live breath and think. We can not do it without him.

Christ used a willing vessel to carry forth his interpretation of the dream.

Jospeh could not interpret the dream but he had the God of Heaven who could.

If we would get it in our minds and hearts that it is not in us but in God we could do so much for him.

If those who sing instead of bragging on their degrees and their mentors and start saying its of God how much more do you think God would bless them.

If those who preach would quit stating what college they went to or who their favorite preacher is and start saying its not in me but of God. How much more do you think God would get the glory?

Its not in me but of God!
