Genesis 8:15-19 KJV
And God spake unto Noah, saying, [16] Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee. [17] Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth. [18] And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him: [19] Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.

There are some thoughts concerning when they got off the ark that i would like to dwell on this morning.

First of all, I would like to note that it was God that protected them in the ark.

For forty days and nights, it rained. Then, the water had to diminish in order for the ark to land safely. God protect the ark as it went.

This is a reminder to all of us, including myself, that no matter what storm we face, we can trust the God of the storm.

God brought them safely .... upon the mountains of Ararat. God kept those that were in the ark safe, and may i remind you that God can keep you safe till heaven.

What a great picture of the guiding hand of our Savior. He led them right to the mountain range. As born-again believers we are led by the hand of our Savior to Heaven where we will spend eternity with him.

Secondly, it was God that opened the door.

God opens doors that no man cam close and he closes doors that no man can open. Noah never shut the door and therefore if he could not shut it he could not open it.

God brought them to the mountains and then opened the door. God will often times bring you through things so he can open the door for you to see what he has done.

Him opening the door meant a new beginning. Aren't you glad that God started a new beginning when he open the door on Calvary and allowed us to come in? But then on the physical aspect one day he will open the door for us to go to Heaven, in our changed estate, not just our soul and spirit. It's only because he opened the door. Hallelujah.

Lastly, I want you to notice what they did when they entered the new earth, if you will. They built and altar and worshipped the Lord.

This is a great thought if you will get a hold of it. God puts you in the ark of his grace, he then shuts the door, keeps you through the storms of this life, opens up the door and brings us to Heaven. Then we will be praising him for what he has done.

Friend, the nail prints and the scar in his side will never go away. We will make it there by what he did for us on Calvary. What a Savior!

I am glad God opened the door for me to come in to the ark of his grace and he is keeping me till one day the former things will be passed away and everything will be made new!

I hope you have been born again. If not, today will be a great day for you to enter into the ark of grace so one day he can open the door, the rapture, to you one day!
