Fire-starter challenge #242
I read where a lady one time had been picked on for being a witness for Christ. Her response was full of conviction.
This lady was elderly, and she didn't see very well and was standing in front of the market telling people about Christ. One of her co-workers had seen her talking to something that turned out to be a wooden Indian statue. This lady said it's obvious you ate talking to a wooden Indian that can't hear or see you.
The elderly lady looked back at her co-worker and said, "At least I was not a wooden Christian."
How many of us are wooden Christians today? Truth be known all of us can be at times. When we should be speaking for the Lord and sharing what God has laid on your heart to speak to someone.
How many wooden Christians are in the pew that do nothing to invest in the Lord's work. The elderly lady's words ring into my heart and ears. At least I am not a wooden Christian. Are you a wooden Christian? It's time for God to put some life in those dead bones.
