Good morning!!! My prayer is  you have had a great start to  this week. Thank you for reading the Fire-starter devotional each morning!
The Fire-starter is going to not be out of 2 Chronicles this morning although we have been in that book but i have had a thought on my heart since Sunday night. I preached at my home Church this past Sunday night and the title of the message was where are the lower lights.

Jesus is the great Light you and I are just lower lights. The Bible states that we need to let our light shine according to Matthew 5:14-16.

America has sent missionaries to foreign fields while our neighbors, co-workers, cashiers at stores and places of business we go to never hear the gospel and they die lost without Jesus.

Light is being shown in other countries and in America the light is growing dimmer and dimmer.

The lower lights were kept at the harbor mouth to direct Ships and vessels through the channel. While the lower lights burned many were saved but when the lower lights were not burning lives would perish. Something to note about these lower lights is that someone had to keep a good check on the lights and the person that didn’t light the lights back up were responsible for the lives that were lost.

If you were to go into a dark room with just one light burning you would be able to see where to go but while there are many lights burning you can see the whole place.

We are living in a dark day in America and Christians have not let their light shine and people are dying lost.

I can’t cause you to make your light shine but I can encourage you to let your light shine.

Friend, let your light shine today.
Someone may need a little light of encouragement, some may need some light on a situation, be a lower light pointing to the great Light and that is Jesus.
