Fill My Cup, Lord, So Others See You And Not Me

Let this be our prayer today.

I was at a restaurant yesterday on a date with my girlfriend and noticed this phrase on the cup.

It made me think of how much we fill our lives with anger against someone or how bitterness overtakes our thoughts and words. When someone sees you, do they see Christ to the point that it erases the life you used to live?

I do understand that you can't erase the old life from the minds of others, but I do know that Christ has removed our sin as far as the east is from the west psalm 103:12 states.

The Psalmist said it Psalm 23 that ...my cup runneth over... we must allow Christ to fill us to the point that he flows out of us.

Today, our prayer should fill my cup, Lord, so others see you and not us! Ephesians 5:18.
