We have all been in situations where if we could do some thing to get us out of it then we would.

Genesis 20:1-2 KJV
And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar. [2] And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

Abraham has used this method before and had not learned the lesson that lying will bring heartache not helpfulness.

Abraham used Sarah to get him out of a situation and it didn't work. It was only by the grace of God that it didn't cause someone else to sin.

Situations are going to arise but now you deal with situations will tell alot about you.

Alot of people of people when they are down turn to alcohol; depressed they turn to pills, discouraged they turn to a therapist. The only way to get help in a situation is to look to Jesus!

Abraham instead of trusting God used Sarah as his getaway car, if you will, so he would die. This was out of fear. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God has not given us this spirit of fear. In the book of Romans chapter 8 verse 15 it speaks that we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear.

Fear causes dread and it will cause you to do things that later you will regret. Trust the Lord! Proverbs 3:5-6 and Psalm 118:8-9.

And remember we must stand strong when situations arise and our strength comes from God.

Don't put your trust in yourself or in others during situations, trust in the Lord!

Had Abraham trusted God things would have been different I believe.
