Doing Right While Not Living The Example
Good morning, thank you for taking the time to read the Fire-starter each morning. Please share this with family and friends.
Our Fire-starter comes from 2 Chronicles 27. Our Fire-starter thought is: doing right while not living the example.
We are living in a day and time where the world sees themselves as living right yet not living the example.
Please remember, yes we need to live right but we also need to lead by example.
Here we find King Jotham. He did that which was right in the sight of the Lord. But there was a hindrance, he didn't enter into the temple of the Lord.
While there are those that do right we must lead by example.
See, leaders lead by example!!!!
When they living right yet being hypocritical in their actions the people they are leading will start being hypocritical.
Don't blame the people you are leading if you are to blame for your leadership!!!!
Some Pastors, Evangelist, Sunday school teachers need to hear this, if you are leading them in the wrong direction don't blame them if they follow you in the wrong direction.
See with the King not entering in the house of God the people followed in his ways.
When there is corruption in the nation there will always be corruption in the people.
It's noticeable when the leadership is leading in the wrong direction from the people that are following the leaders.
You say bro. Justin was king Jotham bad? No, he did right in the sight of the Lord but his problem was he didn't go to the temple.
You say ok he didn't go to church that's not a bad thing. Although you don't have to go to church to be a Christian. Going to church is showing you are a Christian.
Living the example is very important in this day and time where living however you want to live is normal.
I encourage you this morning not only do right but live by example.
Yes you may know how to do right but are you living the right example?
I encourage you to do both.
This generation needs to see a person living by example. Please live the right kind of example.
2 Chronicles 27:1-9 KJV
Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok. [2] And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly. [3] He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of Ophel he built much. [4] Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers. [5] He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third. [6] So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God. [7] Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. [8] He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. [9] And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
