Do You Have A Place?

Justin Baker • January 5, 2026

Abraham had a place where he stood before the Lord and each and every one of us need a place where we meet with our Savior.

Genesis 19:27-28 KJV
And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD: [28] And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

While Lot is lolly gagging around Abraham is standing before the Lord. It's amazing how quick we can be like Lot and not in the presence of our Lord and Savior like we ought to be.

Abraham stood in the presence of the Lord. Let me ask you do you stand before the Lord and talk with him?

We know God wants to hear from us because he would not have said in Hebrews 4:16 that we can come boldly to the throne of grace.

Notice some things you can take away from this text

1. Abraham went to the place that was familiar
Where he stood before the Lord.
Always have a place where you go to meet with God

2. Don't forget to think of those around you when you meet with God
He looked on Sodom and Gomorrah

Don't get so caught up in the worship you forget the work!

We need to worship and work but we must have a balanced life.

Friend, if you don't have a place where you meet with the Lord and where he meets with you. I encourage you to find your place and meet with the Lord on the behalf of others.

God provides and supplies our needs. May we always consider the provision made on Calvary
