Division Is Not A New Doctrine
When people hear the word division, they do not like it to be in the church or in the family. This is something that was created from the beginning and is not just an Old Testament doctrine but also a New Testament doctrine.
As you read Genesis 1 yesterday, I hope you noticed the Word divided. There are also implications of division all through the chapter.
One thing about chapter one is that divisions were needed, appreciated, and applicable to us today.
Without the division of the sun and moon, we would have sunlight all day long. There would be no night.
Let me stop and say that one day there will be no need for light, and there won't be any darkness because in Heaven, it will all be light, and there will be unity because of the sinless Savior and saints that are there.
Let me say that there will be no division in Heaven because we will all be there (those who are saved) in one accord.
You notice that the days were divided. You will also see the land and sea were divided. The animals in the ocean and land and sky were divided. God divided male and female.
He just didn't make man and man or woman and woman. They both have different characteristics about them. They are different.
Every person may bleed the same blood, but everyone is different. Everyone doesn't have the same friends, the same mindset, the same characteristics, but one thing is for sure everyone can have the same Savior, and that is Jesus Christ.
You may ask why you have talked about the division of chapter 1. The answer is simple! I believe that there ought to be divisions in our lives.
All through scripture, you can find this principle. With marriage, money, sin, and righteousness.
We must be separate from the world. There must be a division!
What do you need to divide today? Do you need to separate yourself from friends, a job, or some family members? Abraham and Lot had to separate due to disagreement.
I know one thing, the devil is always about unifying, and God is always dividing.
May we be out of step with the world and in step with Christ!
