This week is the anniversary of 9/11. 24 years ago to the date on Thursday, a tragic day happened in America. For a while, it seemed as if the American people were willing to come and hear about the Lord, but sadly, 24 years later, we have drifted further and further away from God as a nation.

For a time, it seemed as if America was going to get right, but like the children of Israel, when God blessed them, we have turned aside from the truth.

I hear often God bless America, but friend God has blessed America. I believe wholeheartedly that God will continue to bless us if we do what is right.

One thing I want to remind you is what Proverbs 14:34 states, and that is Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

The Bible also states Psalm 33:12 KJV
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

I understand this is speaking of Israel, but America has been blessed by God. We are just like Israel. We founded our nation on biblical principles. What blessings have been given to America because she has put God first.

What a sad day in America is today because we are putting more trust in Donald Trump and our leaders than the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us it's better to trust in the Lord in Psalm 118:8-9.

Friend, I want to encourage you this week to be salt and light in America. While America has been known for sending missionaries on foreign fields, we must be willing to be a missionary to our own country.

Everyone reaching their neighbors and loved ones with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.
