A Song Given In The Night By The Light
Sometimes the night is not where you would expect a song but bear in mind it's sometimes the best place for the song. Take heart and be challenged by today's Fire-starter.
The songwriter said in the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face while the storm howls above me and there is no hiding place. Many of the songs that were written were during the night of a trial or a trouble. I do not mean the physical time of night but during the darkness of the trial. It is well was written during the time of trial for Horatio Spafford and so many others i can name.
God gives songs in the night because he is the Light. I know one thing its hard to write about storms and trials that you go through but it sometimes will help others as they go through trials.
Psalms were written during trials and troubles that David went through. Think back to the time when God gave you a song in the night. How about not only giving you a song in the night but how about a reason to sing in the dark?
Christ gives songs in the night to sing about the LIGHT.
Music is a great way to focus on Christ when you go through a tough time. Music will help you.
I was getting some alterations done on some suits I had and the Lady that does the alterations heard me sing and we talked about music for a little while. She said the music that young people listen to nowadays is BOOM, BOOM, BOOM. I like peaceful music. It helps me. She said she loved listening to music but music that makes sense. I am thankful the songs in the night that Christ gives makes sense. It may not seem much when we are going through your night but coming out you can be grateful.
Job 35:1-16 KJV
Elihu spake moreover, and said, [2] Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's? [3] For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin? [4] I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee. [5] Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou. [6] If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? [7] If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand? [8] Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art ; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man. [9] By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty. [10] But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night; [11] Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? [12] There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men. [13] Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it. [14] Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him. [15] But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity: [16] Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.
