A balanced life is needed in this day and hour. I was working with my laser engraver yesterday and had my setting that would not cut, so I put the setting to go through twice but that was the mistake seeing I burned a good portion of the wood because the burn was too much then. 

It got me thinking how many times I find myself doing so many things that I end up messing up what I'm doing? 

Whether in ministry, hobbies, or family. See a balanced life is important, and finding the balance is very important. 

Mary and Martha are great examples of this. Mary spent all the time at Jesus's feet while Martha was busy serving. 

We all need to be at his feet, but we also need to be busy doing the work that God has called us to. 

I would not give you a penny for a pastor who is not willing to get his hands dirty and is always trying to get someone else to do everything for him. But I also will not give you a penny for someone who is always working and never studies and prepares for the Sunday school lesson or preaches without studying

Far too often, a lot of folks find themselves going to the extreme on both ends.
